Why Music with Mason?

I started my teaching career with one goal in mind: to help people find happiness and fulfillment in this activity. I want to surprise people who don’t know they’re good yet. It’s all about that moment where a student realizes they’re doing things they didn’t think they’d be able to do.

My experiences in music have taught me that the more you give, the more you get.

I give everything I can - my presence, my passion, and my care. In return, I learn from my students just as they learn from me. Let’s team up to learn and explore this big world of music together.

Our first chat is always free! Let’s discuss YOUR goals and interests, and we can determine together how best I can help you!

FAQs

I see you’re a musician! Why do you offer leadership coaching?

It turns out, leadership is incredibly important in this activity! Ensembles (especially marching bands) rely heavily on student leadership for their programs and activities to run smoothly. If you’d like to take on a leadership role or you’re already a student leader, I can help you develop your skills, habits, and your thinking to help you be more effective.

Do I have to be a kid to take lessons?

Nope.

I want to learn how to play an instrument, but do I have to play classical music?

I will not make you play music that does not interest you. Instruments do require practice, and it’s best to keep in mind that the music you can play gets cooler and cooler as you learn more skills.

Can I learn more than one instrument at a time?

Yes you can! I only focus on one instrument per session but you’re welcome to book as many as you like.
